The Story of Elly Creations

"Elly Creations was started back in May 2007 at a place right next to our home in Moratuwa. Initially we only imported ready-made jewelry but as our customer base grew in numbers, they eventually wanted something specifically designed and customized for them. And that was the starting point where we were driven by our clients to design and create custom-made jewelry, which we started off with beaded jewelry."

When we listened to our customers, we realized that ready-made mass-produced jewelry could never do justice to the unique beauty of a Sri Lankan bride on her special day. Brides needed exact color matches to their osariya, Kandyan sarees, and reception gowns.

We rolled up our sleeves and mastered the intricate art of hand-beaded wire wrapping, Kundan setting, and gemstone selection. What started in Moratuwa rapidly gained popularity across Colombo and nationwide through glowing word-of-mouth recommendations.
